Joroto X4S with Zwift, QZ

The big picture is to exercise on the Joroto X4S stationary bike, connected to QZ on the Google Pixel 6 phone, while displaying the ride with Zwift on a Samsung S10 Ultra and log training sessions.

QZ version 2.18.9 beta

  • Tests 1
    • First I cleared the data to start the app from scratch. There is a new setup that sets: age, weight, sex, bike, and heart-monitor.
    • The Wahoo heart rate monitor does not consistently show up
    • Tile tile metrics display is still all zeros
  • Test 2
    • In settings, the setup did not configure the Bike and Belt, I set this manually
      • FTMS Bike: JOROTO-3132
      • Heart Belt Name: TICKR COC9
    • The tile metrics display is still all zeros

QZ version 2.16.66

  • I’ve bought the QZ app for a Google Pixel 6 running Android 14. I’m able to connect to a Wahoo heart rate monitor and a Joroto X4S stationary bike, but the tile display shows all zero except for the heart rate. From the snapshot you can see the heart bpm and JOROTO-3132 found. The app is version 2.16.66.
  • In the app, all defaults except:
    • HeartRate service outside FTMS: on
    • Heart Belt Name: TICKR C0C9
    • Bike Options, FTMS Bike: JOROTO-3132
  • I’ve also run QZ on a Samsung S10 Ultra with the same result.
  • The plan is to run Zwift on the tablet but thus far I can’t get good data from the Joroto bike.
